Gather these once and your incorporation will rarely wait on paperwork.
For individual shareholders
Most licensing authorities ask for the same core set.
- Passport copy, valid for at least six months
- Recent passport photograph on a white background
- UAE entry stamp or visa copy, if you are in the country
- Emirates ID, for existing residents
- Residential address and contact details
For corporate shareholders
Where a company will own the new entity, its documents must usually be notarised and legalised in the country of origin, then attested in the UAE.
- Certificate of incorporation and good standing
- Memorandum and articles of association
- Board resolution approving the UAE company
- Power of attorney for the authorised signatory
Allow time for attestation
Legalisation abroad is often the longest step in a corporate-shareholder setup. Start it early, in parallel with name reservation, and the rest of the timeline will hold.
